Well I Gave It a Shot...

Doesn't hurt to play the lotto and have a cerveza while sulking in a victory or loss...in this case it was the latter of the two. Oh well at least i only spent $5 and like $20 and up like most fools did. So awhile they feel a little bit of buyers remorse for spending all that money on tickets, I'll just sit here and enjoy my cerveza...haha

Sticker Art Supplies

I've never known of this form of media used to sticker art since recently while surfing the net for graff stuff. Its pretty old media used by street artists. I've been out of it so Im just getting my self reacquainted to the scene. I dont see it used around here in The San Diego area so I'll just take it make it my own n publish it out on the streets.

More Marker Fun

Again continuing to practice with black and grays. Using my old art markers is great BUT will pickup a set of the Copic 12 pen Black and Gray set soon. Copic has a blending pen so we'll see how well it blends.

Anyways this piece is an unnamed character Im developing just for kicks.. Will be using him for some of my Graff work in the future. I just gotta figure out a name...

Getting Reacquainted With My Markers

When I went to graphic design school I got a art bin full of cool art supplies. I mean literally almost $1000 worth of supplies. My favorite were of course the Pantone markers by Tria. Now I've had this set for over 10yrs and they still work just as well as they did when I first got them. They are pricey like Prisma Color or Copic markers but you get what you pay for...Im gonna need a serious collection of markers soon though to be able to do some amazing stuff BUT it's gonna cost me. Shit aint cheap!

1st Order From Bombing Science

Well it took awhile (7 bizniz days to be exact) BUT it finally came in today. Its a small order only 3 cans n a bunch of NY caps (Fat & Thin). I just wanted to see how it was to order from them. Pretty cool. I will order more soon. I just wish they weren't in Canada. I'd probably get them in fast if they weren't. If I can find a place local or up in LA that sells Ironlak for $3.95 a can then I'll order or pick up from them. But for now Bombing Science seems to be the best affordable place to buy cans. I was at Aaron Bros today and they carry Montana Golds...$10 a pop! Screw that! Thats 2 Ironlaks for couple bucks less than 1 can of Montana Gold. Once Oink Art gets a fresh supply of their Fresh Paint brand Im stocking up! At $2.95 a pop you cant pass that up! I'm buying a case when they re-up!

Sprite In Proggress

Dabbling in pixel/sprite art. Laying out some Pacman stuff and my 5 year old son thought it was cool, so he took my iphone n snapped a pic. Laying it out to make it a physical piece (Space Invader street artist type of chiz)

Fish Fridays

Well its good Friday season so I guess it's Rubio Fridays season...you just can't go wrong with a two taco plate on corn tortillas with chips and pinto beans!

The secret here is to take some of the pinto beans and spread it on your fosh taco and then drizzle some of the fresh hot sauce of your choice! D-lish! Happy Good Friday to you all!

Killa Panda Seat?

My daughter had a class field trip today to Balboa Park and the kids were allowed to have at it at the playground for a few and I saw this guy and had to snap a pic. If I weren't with the class I would of dressed it up and fit for Kings of Society standards.

Leprechaun Trap 2012

This year its my sons turn to have a leprechaun trap project. So this is the out come. Don't worry he did help out. He placed all the pieces down as directed (by me) after I laid down the hot glue...If this was all me it would be 10x more detailed and a fully operational trap. But this was still fun.

Late Night Meal Session

These late night carb induced meals are what contribute to my belly and if I don't stop it my belly will never go away. But this was so good though. Frozen Totinos pizza (not those bite soze one but a personal pan serving. With left over fried chicken shredded on top and then coverend in mild cheddar...delicious stuff!

Acouple Sticker Backgrounds Done

Made acouple backgrounds last night. Note to self DO NOT buy the cheap $0.97 spray cans. Theres a reason why they are so cheap! (smacking the back of my own head). I bought white n black. The white is terrible! Its so watered down...gonna order some Oink Art "Fresh Paint" cans tonight to try out. Still waiting for my Ironlaks to come in from Canada. My crate is rlly empty only got like 6 cans in it right now...pretty sad eh?

Our HP Indigo digital press pushes ink from 650 g/l CYMK cans. I wonder what would happen if I put a Orange Dot (German Fat) tip on it? Probably nothing...BUT it wld be cool if it did work...

Two Tattoos I Do Not See Often

The top one (Callia) was rendered by myself in illustrator. Based off the Cadillac font. The bottom (Clark) I didnt render myself. I was to lazy to do so... I got Callia about 5 years ago and Clark about 4 years ago. Now I gotta have my tattoo guy render a back piece that can incorporate these two tatts. Im sure he wont have an issue with that...

Well apparently there's a vodka company in SD called 619 Vodka. Our shop is printing a whole bunch of marketing materials for it. Biz cards, flyers, etc...it would be cool if they dropped off a case for us to try out haha.

Anonymous Sticker

I was just recently (within the past 8months) aware of who the group Anonymous is. I saw their logo online and thought it looked familiar. A week or so goes by and then I saw this sticker in one of our office windows here at work and then it clicked that was why it was so familiar to me. We printed these stickers for a client last year. And had seen it around the shop when it was getting processed and printed and unfortunately the day it came to my department for contour cutting I was out. As for the client? I dont know who he/she/they were. But then again thats how "they" at Anonymous operate right?

Lunch Box of Stickers

A few of my stickers mostly made with high grade 3M control tact. Normally used for vehicle wraps. Plus sum blank USPS priority mail shipping labels to make cheap stickers from. I have the resources to have the best of both worlds...the perks of working for a digital print shop! And being in the large format department.

A Wonderful Product Called Glass Cleaner

Glass Cleaner...its a wonderful multi-purpose invention like Windex. It cleans just about everything, including chucks! Im sure it can probably cure a disease. Amazing product!

Killa Panda by Chris Haider aka KOS

Me messing around with stencils. This is my first shot at using stencils so with that said its obvious I got kinks to work out. I came up with Killa Panda from being inspired by my kids who one day were drawing pandas. You see they like to draw and color and make these little story books. And one afternoon the subject happened to be Pandas. Now at this point I have been trying to think of a subject to use for stencil art. I first came up with a crow (which I will still use often) but I rlly wanted something else cuz artists like Banksy & Blek Le Rat have their Rats, Shepard has The Gaint, n Mr. brainwash has himself. And looking at the panda I thought what a great subject. Pandas are made of two basic colors Black & White. I also wanted to incorporate a murderous appetite for killing with the pandas cute outer appearance...so with that Killa Panda was born...
